North Melbourne defender Riley Hardeman will play his first senior game this season in Saturday's Sir Doug Nicholls Round clash with Gold Coast at Marvel Stadium.

He is North Melbourne's only inclusion for Round 11, replacing Tom Blamires, who has been omitted.

Hardeman, whose pre-season was interrupted by an injured ankle, earned his opportunity to add to his 20 career games after an impressive run of form in the VFL.

He was the Kangaroos' carryover emergency for last weekend's trip to Adelaide.

The Roos will wear their 2026 First Nations guernsey 'We are Marram' on home turf against the Suns on Saturday.

Young gun Colby McKercher will play his 50th game in the fixture, which starts at 1.15pm AEST.

Blamires, Cooper Harvey and Matt Whitlock are the Roos' emergencies.
