One of North Melbourne’s brightest young stars, Finn O’Sullivan, has signed a two-year contract extension.

Already contracted for next year, O’Sullivan’s new deal will keep him at Arden Street until at least the end of 2029.

The 20-year-old midfielder has been a mainstay in the senior line-up since being selected with pick No.2 in the 2024 Telstra AFL Draft, playing 36 games since his Round 1, 2025 debut. 

He made an immediate impression in his first year, playing 22 games and earning a Telstra AFL Rising Star nomination in Round 15.

The Koroit product has proven to be a versatile weapon over his first two seasons. After spending the majority of his debut year impacting across half-back and on the wing, he has increased his midfield minutes in 2026. 

Notably, he has taken his game to another level by playing shutdown roles on some of the competition's elite midfielders while averaging 19 disposals per game.

North Melbourne head of football talent Brady Rawlings said the club was thrilled to secure O’Sullivan for the long term.

"Finn has shown inside his first two seasons exactly why we were so keen to bring him to the club with pick two," Rawlings said.

"His versatility and work ethic have stood out from the moment he walked through the doors at Arden Street. We have seen him develop from a reliable role player on the wing and half-back into a genuine, versatile midfielder with still so much growth to come.

"He’s quickly become a core part of our young, emerging group and Finn will play a key role in shaping our club’s future."

O’Sullivan is the latest in a wave of key signatures for North Melbourne this season, joining Cooper Trembath, Paul Curtis, George Wardlaw, and Harry Sheezel in signing recent extensions.
