North Melbourne champion Emma Kearney is a chance of making her playing return as the Kangaroos prepare for a Grand Final rematch against Brisbane in Round 2.Â
The eight-time All-Australian missed the Roos' season-opening win over Geelong at Marvel Stadium after she injured her right hamstring in pre-season.Â
Senior physiotherapist Billy Williams said Kearney had resumed full training and would be available for selection as the Roos travel to take on the Lions at Brighton Homes Arena on Saturday.Â
Winger Taylah Gatt, whose groin injury was diagnosed ahead of Round 1, is seeing positive early improvements as she begins her rehab, Williams said.
"Taylah had a really strong off-season and pre-season and we feel this has her in a good position to progress smoothly once she's cleared to start running," he said.Â
Experienced defender Nicole Bresnehan (knee) continues to train strongly and is on track to be available for a return to play around mid-season.
