North Melbourne has secured the future of three key players, with Jenna Bruton, Blaithin Bogue, and Taylah Gatt committing to new deals.

The club’s inaugural best and fairest winner, Bruton has signed a two-year extension to remain at Arden Street into an 11th season, keeping her at the Kangaroos until the end of 2028. 

The 30-year-old has played 85 games for North Melbourne since joining in its inaugural 2019 season and was among the side’s best in the 2025 Grand Final, booting a game-high three goals.

Bogue, who was in the final year of her contract, has recommitted to Arden Street until at least the end of 2028. Gatt has also locked in her future, extending her stay at the club through to the end of 2029.

Joining the Roos from Fermanagh via the Supplementary Selection Period following the 2023 campaign, Bogue made her AFLW debut in Round 1, 2025 and went on to play every game of the season. 

She capped off her breakout year with a team-high 25 goals, All-Australian honours, and a premiership medal. Ahead of this season she starred on the international stage, where she booted three goals for Ireland in the inaugural Australia v Ireland representative match.

Selected with pick No.28 in the 2022 AFLW Draft, Gatt made her debut in Round 1 of 2022 S7. The 21-year-old was named the club’s Best Young Player in 2023 and has since featured in both of North Melbourne's back-to-back AFLW premierships. 

Following a strong pre-season, a groin injury has sidelined the winger for the start of the 2026 campaign.

North Melbourne general manager of women’s football Erin Lorenzini said the club was thrilled to retain the premiership trio.

“Jenna’s impact on this club speaks for itself, and we’re committed to keeping good people in our program, so it was very pleasing to see her sign on,” Lorenzini said.

“She’s the ultimate team player, her teammates walk taller around her, and she remains a pivotal part of our program.

"Blaithin had an incredible 2025, and her impact in our forward line was a key driver of our premiership success.

"To adapt to the game as quickly as she has is a testament to her workrate and dedication. It’s exciting to consider how much improvement she still has ahead of her.

“Taylah plays and prepares with a level of professionalism well beyond her years. Given how central she is to our environment, it's easy to overlook just how much footy she still has ahead of her.

“While she has had a frustrating start to the season, we know how diligently she is tackling her rehab, and we can’t wait to see her back on the park when she’s ready."
