North Melbourne will kick off the 2027 Toyota AFL Premiership Season in front of the Kangaroo faithful against Port Adelaide at Marvel Stadium.

The home game, a rematch of the Roos' 2026 opener, which they won by 46 points, was revealed on Tuesday as the AFL announced the Round 1 fixture.

The Kangaroos will host the Power on Sunday, March 21 at 1.10pm AEDT.

The match will form part of a return to a traditional Round 1 featuring all 18 clubs across nine games, following the AFL's experiments with an opening round split across two weeks in recent seasons.

Tickets for Round 1 will go on sale at a later date, with details to be communicated in advance.

The news follows Monday's announcement that the Roos will take on rivals Essendon in 2027's Gather Round, which will take place in Round 4 next season.
