Scott Thompson will make his return from injury for North Melbourne’s clash against Hawthorn on Friday night.

The Roos named their 22-man lineup on Thursday evening, presented by The Wharf Hotel, with Thompson among two inclusions.

The veteran ruptured his testicle in the loss to Brisbane a fortnight ago, but has made a quick recovery and will take his place in a key defensive post.

Also returning, Kayne Turner, after he was rested last week.

Shaun Atley will miss his first game since 2015 due to knee soreness, while Jed Anderson has been omitted.

North Melbourne will commemorate 150 years of history with a weekend packed full of celebrations.

A Mazda Motorcade will take place pre-game, celebrating some of the club’s most beloved icons, and members will be able to collect a limited edition 150 year pin from the membership hub outside Gate 5 (available while stocks last).

On Saturday, the club’s Arden St headquarters will be open to the public, with guided tours from 8am.

The Roo Shop will also be holding its biggest ever sale on the indoor basketball court, with nothing over $50.

From 2pm, North’s VFL side will take on Box Hill at its spiritual home.

On Saturday night, the club will conclude celebrations with the 150 Year Anniversary Dinner, in which North’s top 10 players of all-time will be named.

This event will be live-streamed on NMFC.com.au from 7:30pm.
