Melbourne Uni will take on the GWS Giants on Sunday in a match not for premiership points, but for development.
There will be plenty of new talent on show this weekend, as North’s AFLW listed-players take a rest, and the team's emerging youngsters get their chance.
Head coach Scott Gowans will be taking a back-seat, as AFLW assistant coach Lauren Morecroft takes the reins as senior coach.
It's the third of five ‘invitation games’ that the Giants will play in, with their past two outings resulting in decisive wins by 79 and 28 points respectively.
With ten of the Giants currently contracted with their AFLW side, and a further five having played at the AFLW level before, this weekend will prove to be a tough match-up for the young Melbourne Uni side.
