Overseeing his first team selection since taking over from Dean Laidley, Crocker has some big decisions to make at match committee and the jury is out as to whether he’ll make sweeping changes to the side and make a statement to all those at Arden Street.
Jack Ziebell and Brent Harvey offer an easy equation; the 18 year old goes out of the side with a leg injury and the captain comes in after 8 weeks on the sidelines with a dislocated elbow.

There’s been much hype about Liam Anthony’s chances of a debut following a string of impressive performances at VFL level. If the West Australian is picked, there has to be a casualty.

If he becomes the clubs 7th debutant for the year, the axe may fall on former rookie Cruize Garlett who was given a chance at senior level in Adelaide two weeks ago or Daniel Wells who is suffering from a virus and ongoing groin trouble.
Ben Warren has recovered from a broken cheekbone and could slip straight back into the forward line along with Sam Wright who has overcome a knee injury. If they prove their fitness, Corey Jones and Aaron Edwards could be back in the VFL this weekend. Crocker will also have to assess the fitness of Lindsay Thomas who strained his hamstring in round 12 against the Crows.

It’s expected Ed Lower will make his way back through the seconds after club medical staff assessed his knee and gave him the green light to return to the field.

Plenty of attention will also be on the career of Daniel Harris with Crocker indicating all players would receive a fresh start under his leadership. Harris struggled to get a regular game under Laidley and was a late replacement for David Hale in Adelaide.
Michael Wundke was close to making his debut after being named as an emergency along with Levi Greenwood while Shannon Watt and Josh Smith will be working hard to catch Crocker’s eye in the hope of getting a recall.
