First-gamer Brad McKenzie eyed his team-mate making a strong lead out of the goal square and put it to his advantage. Bulldog Daniel Cross worked hard to block Petrie's path, but he proved to be the perfect step-ladder for the big forward.

Petrie put the icing on the cake when he played on and ran into an open goal, though his solo effort wasn't enough to help his team over the line on the day.
