North Ballarat will call on an influx of Kangaroo stars as it aims to win its 9th game on the trot in Round 11 of VFL action.

The Roosters have named ten North players in their initial squad to take on Collingwood tomorrow at Eureka Stadium including Aaron Edwards, Corey Jones, Gavin Urquhart, Sam Power and Ed Lower.

While Jones, Urquhart and Power are all on an extended interchange bench for North Melbourne's match on Sunday and may not take their places, Edwards and Lower will be vital inclusions for the Roosters as they look to impress and work their way back into the seniors.

Edwards had kicked 11 goals for the Kangaroos in his eight matches so far this season, and initially gained a reputation as a powerhouse goal kicker at VFL level before being drafted by North Melbourne at the end of 2006. He was a J.J Liston Trophy winner in that year after booting 88 goals for Frankston.

Lower had been a regular for North Melbourne in the early part of the season, but was struck down with a knee injury while playing in the VFL just three weeks ago.

Josh Smith will also be looking to continue his good run of goal kicking form up forward.

With 18 goals in 8 matches so far this season, Smith can't be far away from a recall to the North Melbourne team.

The Roosters could also enjoy the return of Cruize Garlett, who has been named on the interchange after his debut for the Kangaroos last week.

Garlett has been dominant in his VFL appearances so far this season, and a week at the highest level could see him come back even stronger for North Ballarat.

Meanwhile, the Werribee Tigers face a tough task against the fourth-placed Box Hill Hawks at City Oval.

Despite the Tigers poor season so far, a big win against Collingwood in Round 10 saw a return to form from forwards Marty Pask and Nathan Thompson, and youngster Leigh Adams through the midfield.

Adams continues his push for senior selection after two strong outings in a row. The former Victoria Metro captain was the initiator of the Tigers final quarter comeback last week with several clearances out of the centre in the dying stages.

Daniel Harris should provide plenty of support through the middle if he plays. The experienced veteran has been named on an extended bench for North Melbourne, but Werribee would love to have him in the team.

It looks a tough assignment for the Tigers on-ballers with the likes of Kennedy, Tuck and Stokes all with plenty of experience at the highest level.

Matt Riggio and Ben Speight will both be important to Werribee's chances of an upset. Riggio has been close to a recall in recent weeks, while Speight has become a handy player for the Tigers with an ability to press forward.

Exciting youngster Sam Wright will also make his return to football after missing several weeks with a knee injury.

The Roos' second round pick in 2008, played four games for North Melbourne before an injury stopped his run.
