The Kangaroos went down to Port Adelaide at Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon in a pretty disappointing day for AFL Fantasy coaches.

With an average of 64 across the team, only a handful of players reached a decent total and many fantasy favourites were heavily restricted. Ben Brown was the only North player to reach triple figures, with Brent Harvey finishing next best with 99.

Here's a review of Footy Prophet’s Fantasy Five for this week.

1. Ryan Clarke ($195,000, MID)

Clarke is probably the only member of the Fantasy Five who can hold their heads up this week. Despite finishing with 64 points, the rookie has shown potential in his two games of being a key future fantasy player.

After a slow start, he scored 50 of his points in the second half and while he may not be one to look at this year, that shows he’s someone to keep an eye on in future years.

2. Todd Goldstein ($494,000, RUC)

The ruckman had a below average week by his standards, finishing with 81 points from 12 disposals. We know what we can expect from Goldstein and 81 isn’t a terrible score so in this case, it’s really forget it and move onto next week where hopefully he can bring back the 100's.

3. Nick Dal Santo ($445,000, MID)

Dal Santo returned from injury after a fortnight off and posted 75 points from 28 disposals. It’s strange to see a usually fantasy-strong player like Dal Santo only manage 75 points when he’s had nearly 30 touches, but 21 handballs and zero marks restricted his scoring. It’s a positive sign that he was able to get the ball at least and he can take that into next week perhaps.

4. Daniel Wells ($458,000, MID/FWD)

After a few weeks on the sidelines, Wells was immediately tagged by Kane Mitchell and his scoring was heavily restricted. Only managing 23 points in the first half, he did well to even get to his final total of 65, but having missed three weeks and coming back into a poor score, you’d be a little disappointed if you held him on your bench through all that time.

5. Jarrad Waite ($371,000, FWD)

After a blistering start to the year, poor form and injuries have seen Waite drop all the way back down under $400,000. Round 8 was the last time he produced a decent score and at this point, his fantasy premium status is all but revoked. Waite scored 57 on the weekend and the numerous marks and tackles that made him a decent selection earlier in the year have disappeared. Hopefully he can find form going forward.
