The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos’ will be forced to make at least one change to their line-up for the blockbuster match against the Demons on Saturday night, with defender Sarah Wright to face a stint on the sidelines after fracturing her forearm.

The 27-year-old suffered the blow in the club’s win over St Kilda, having played a key part in restricting North’s past two opponents to just 19-points combined in the opening two rounds.

North AFLW football operations manager, Nathan Hrovat, said the club was hopeful of a speedy recovery for Wright.

“It’s unfortunate and a big blow to have Sarah on the sidelines, however we are hopeful that she will make a quick recovery,” Hrovat said.

“We are expecting a five-to-six week rehabilitation and we are confident she’ll be back to see the season out.”

Wright has played nine games for the Kangaroos since being selected with pick 32 in the 2019 NAB AFLW Draft.
