North Melbourne’s midfield has gained some valuable experience for the clash against Carlton, with Ben Cunnington and Jed Anderson returning.

After missing last week’s clash with Essendon due to family reasons, Cunnington will return to the side fit and firing for the back end of the season.

North’s number 10 has been in fine form this season, averaging over 26 disposals and 7 clearances.

Anderson will be sighted at AFL level for the first time since Round 3 after overcoming the ankle injury suffered on Good Friday.

He set a career-high 14 tackles against Gold Coast in Round 2 and will bring some welcome grit and drive to North’s midfield.

After being named as medical substitute in Round 18, Atu Bosenavulagi has been promoted to North’s starting 22 this weekend.

Jack Mahony (AC joint), Robbie Tarrant (adductor) and Charlie Lazzaro (omitted) are the three players who make way.

Carlton has recalled skipper Patrick Cripps.
