A handful of Kangaroos are pressing their claims to join the senior side’s trip to Western Australia after a 13-point reserves victory over Gold Coast before last week’s bye.

Tom Blamires responded emphatically to his omission, recording 29 disposals and eight inside-50s at Arden Street Oval against the Suns.

Robert Hansen jnr was also prolific in that reserves match, earning a game-high 32 disposals off half-back, using his run and carry to great effect.
