A versatile key position player and ruck, Hamilton joined the Roos as an injury replacement signing on the eve of the 2022 AFLW season, filling the injured Elisha King's spot in the club's available playing list. Hamilton impressed while representing North Melbourne in the VFLW during 2021. At 180cm, she shouldered the majority of the team’s ruck duties across the season and flourished in the role, finishing fourth in the Roos' VFLW best & fairest count. She kicked six goals across 12 games and enjoyed a standout performance in round 12, collecting 24 disposals, six tackles and 32 hit-outs. Hamilton arrived at Arden St well equipped for the AFLW environment, having spent the 2020 season with the Gold Coast Suns where she played one game.
