Callum Coleman-Jones and River Stevens are among the inclusions for North Melbourne's VFL bout with St Kilda on Sunday at Arden Street Oval.

Coleman-Jones will make his return from a concussion, while young forward Stevens has overcome the knee injury he sustained against Sydney in early May.

Wil Dawson and Zac Fisher slot back into the team after stints in the AFL side, and are joined by VFL-listed player Gus Papal.

Taylor Goad and Cooper Harvey come out of the side, having been called up to face West Coast at senior level at Optus Stadium in Perth on Saturday.

Darcy Macpherson, Patrick Fairlie and Hugh Byrne also make way.

The match at Arden Street Oval gets underway at 11.05am AEST.

Arden Street Oval has seen a second draw in the 2026 VFL season, as North Melbourne and St Kilda played out a 13.8 (86) to 11.20 (86) on Sunday.

Defenders Aidan Corr and Josh Goater were the standouts for the Kangaroos, collecting 25 and 24 disposals respectively.

Down by 10 points at three-quarter time, the home side kicked six of the next eight goals to go up by 13 with five minutes remaining, but the Saints were able to claw back to a deadlock.

Young forwards Oliver Griffin and Lachy Dovaston both kicked two majors in the last term, but it was not enough to separate the sides.

Player watch

Veteran defender Corr was elite in defence, collecting 25 disposals and 11 marks. He made several clutch defensive plays in the final term, covering the ground well and effectively getting the ball out of the backline.

The highlight of his performance was in the third quarter, when he soared over the pack to take a contested, intercept mark.

Pushing his case for AFL selection, Goater (24 disposals, 12 intercepts, eight marks) was Corr’s partner in crime in defence, also making numerous clutch plays in the final term. His second quarter was especially a highlight, taking three intercept marks.

Speedster Robert Hansen jnr was prolific, collecting 32 disposals in his attacking role off half-back. He kicked the opening goal for the Kangaroos, using his piercing left boot to slot it through from outside the 50m arc.

The freshly recruited Griffin made a statement in his second game since joining the club, booting through three goals.

Livewire Dovaston (10 disposals, two goals) made his impact felt late, booting through both of his majors in the last term. His forward pressure was elite, often forcing turnovers.

Veteran Zac Fisher racked up 27 disposals, while Bailey Scott (28 disposals, seven inside 50s) was a great connector for the Roos, setting up numerous scoring opportunities.

On return from concussion, ruckman Callum Coleman-Jones (23 disposals, 22 hitouts, one goal) was strong at ground level and in the air. 16 of his 23 disposals were contested, and he had 10 clearances, showing his ball-winning ability.

Midfielder Mark Keast (32 disposals, 10 clearances) was a contested beast for the whole day, while tall forward James Tarrant snagged four goals, which included three in the second half.

What the coach said

VFL coach Adam Marcon on the result: “I thought we did a really good job at the start of the last quarter to get back into the game and get a couple goals in hand.

“It’s hard to know how to feel after a draw, and it sort of feels like one that got away, but happy with how we were able to put ourselves in that position.”

On the feeling after a draw: “It definitely feels a bit strange. We spoke before the game about continuing our undefeated streak at home, and we were able to have a laugh about that because we technically still are.

“Obviously we would’ve loved to take the four points, but really happy to keep the streak. We also want to continue to improve the areas we lack in, and there’s still a fair bit of growth left for our group.”

On Aidan Corr and Josh Goater: “They were both really strong and they’ve both put a solid block of games together. Behind the ball they were both great for us, intercepting and one-on-one defending.”

On Oliver Griffin and Lachy Dovaston’s final term: "They both had a really positive last quarter. 'Griff' in the air was elite getting the ball to ground and a real threat, and ‘Dovva’ at ground level was able to impact the game late as well. Really pleased they were able to stand up like that in the last quarter.”
