North Melbourne CEO Jen Watt has highlighted just how important the club's annual Good Friday SuperClash is, which she believes is Marvel Stadium's only marquee game of the year.

The Kangaroos will host Carlton in this year's fixture, with bouncedown at 4.20pm AEST.

Speaking to Gerard Whateley on SEN, Watt identified the significance of the day and how it is bigger than football.

"This a really important day for the Good Friday Appeal, it’s a significant day for all Victorians, I think we’re all passionate about raising money for the Royal Children’s Hospital, so that is clearly (the) number one priority," Watt said.

"It looks like it will be a public sell-out, we still want all the member categories to come out and enjoy their privileges, but for us to have a blockbuster game is pretty significant.

"It’s one of the biggest crowds we’ll play in front of this year, and I know the team is really looking forward to that."

The CEO is optimistic about the year ahead with new staff coming into the club, highlighted by senior coach Alastair Clarkson who she described as the "greatest coach in the modern era".

"It’s so terrific to watch this new football group, it’s not just Alastair Clarkson, we’ve got Brett Ratten there, we’ve got Todd Viney, some terrific assistant coaches, conditioning staff, and a really incredible team," Watt said.

Watt said she is loving her time being back in a club environment after previously working at the Melbourne Demons and then later the Melbourne Cricket Club.

"The energy you get from supporters and the passion and joy that the first couple of wins has brought everyone at North Melbourne has been terrific," she said.

"The job has exceeded my expectations in how utterly interesting, joyful (and) fun it is. I knew I would enjoy it, but it’s just been so interesting."
