Fourth-year Roo Miller Bergman will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his ACL in Friday's VFL game against Essendon.
The defender suffered the injury in the dying minutes of the Windy Hill clash. A subsequent scan confirmed the ACL tear.
"The club medical staff will review with specialists this week for the best course of action moving forward in regard to Miller," North Melbourne head of performance Kevin White said.
Bergman joins fellow backman Jackson Archer on the injury list, with scans revealing on Friday that the No.34 had sustained a high-grade hamstring injury in the Round 8 clash with Essendon.
Archer is expected to miss the next two months.
"It continues a frustrating season to date for Jackson who has had no luck in building consistency of game loading due to suspension and prior injury," White said.
"He will attack his rehab and come back in the second half of the year ready to impact."
After missing last week's match against the Bombers due to a corked thigh, midfielder George Wardlaw will be available for selection ahead of Sunday.
"George completed a running session over the weekend to enable his soreness and corkie to settle," White said.
"He has merged back in with main group training and will be available to play again this week."

A clearer return timeframe of four weeks has been provided for defender Josh Goater, who is recovering from quad and hamstring injuries.
"Josh is re-loading on-ground and in the gym once again, looking to overcome soft tissue setbacks which have interrupted his return to group training and play," White said.
"He's shown great mental fortitude and application towards getting back to work once again."
Ruck-forward Callum Coleman-Jones (Achilles) has edged closer to a return, now just a fortnight away from playing competitive football.
"Callum had another great week which included a game-loading 12km session at Arden Street on Friday," White said.
“He is displaying great confidence and movement in main group training and is now on the runway for his return to play."
Meanwhile, forward Brayden George has pulled up well after a successful return from his ACL injury in the Reserves on Friday.
He featured in three quarters, and is expected to play managed minutes across four quarters this weekend.
