North Melbourne has made one change to its line-up ahead of Saturday night's Round 14 match against Fremantle on at Optus Stadium.

Defender Charlie Comben comes out of the team that edged West Coast in Bunbury, due to a shoulder injury. He's expected to miss the next 2-3 weeks, as reported on Tuesday.

Kallan Dawson has been called up and will make his third senior appearance for the season on the back of 12 disposals and five marks in the 41-point VFL win over Werribee last weekend.

Finn O'Sullivan, Zac Fisher, Luke Parker, Jacob Konstanty and Robert Hansen jnr have been named on the interchange bench, with one to be named substitute an hour before the first bounce at 5.35pm AWST (7.35pm AEST).

Cooper Harvey, Brynn Teakle and Wil Dawson are the three emergencies.
