Star Kangaroos forward Nick Larkey's availability for Round 22 is in doubt after he re-aggravated his knee injury in Sunday's narrow defeat to St Kilda.
Larkey was among the Kangaroos' best players after kicking a game-high three goals at Marvel Stadium.
However a heavy landing after an aerial contest during the game exacerbated the PCL injury to his right knee.
"He was moving well post-game but will be braced conservatively in the early part of this week while his availability and planning is confirmed later in the week after medical consultation," North Melbourne head of performance Kevin White said.
Small forward Zac Banch will be assessed after suffering a rib injury against the Saints.
Banch was substituted at half time after a collision which left him in pain and restricted his running and movement.
"Zac is still pretty sore in this early part of the week," White said.
"We will look after him across the week and assess his training and playing ability on Friday."
Captain Jy Simpkin also faces a fitness test later in the week after experiencing inflammation of the tendon behind his knee.
"He has been on a de-load program across the weekend and we will use training as a guide to his availability for this weekend’s game," White said.
Defender Aidan Corr remains a chance of being available for the Kangaroos' closing games as he recovers from a calf injury.
"Aidan has put together two really strong weeks of running load and footy function," White said.
Corr will join Wednesday's main training session and complete a final high-load session on Saturday to determine his availability for the following week.
Big man Callum Coleman-Jones (calf) is also closing on a competitive return.
"Callum is progressing well after a delayed start to his reload with ongoing symptoms early," White said.
"The plan will be to have a strong loading week of running this week. If he passes through that, he will re-integrate with main group skills next week."
Young defender Josh Goater faces a race to be fit before the end of the VFL/AFL season after suffering ongoing calf symptoms last week.
"He will look for a positive week of re-load running this week to be any realistic chance to play again this season," White said.
Meanwhile, young gun Brayden George's season is over early after he suffered a shoulder injury in training last week.
"Unfortunately in a tackling attempt Brayden suffered a subluxation of his shoulder," White said.
"Scans and surgical consults across the weekends have concluded the need for Brayden to undergo shoulder stabilisation surgery, which he will have done this Thursday."
