A new-look North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos side will take the field for Saturday's AFLW season opener against Geelong at GMHBA Stadium.
New captain Jasmine Garner will lead the Kangaroos as they begin their premiership defence, alongside vice-captain Ash Riddell.
As revealed earlier on Thursday, second-year Kangaroo Blaithin Bogue will make her AFLW debut against the Cats.
Bogue, a pacy forward from Fermanagh in Ireland, earned her place after an eye-catching pre-season which included three goals in a practice match against Essendon.
Trade recruits Eilish Sheerin and Ariana Hetherington will also make their North Melbourne debuts.
Sheerin has been named in defence. Hetherington, who will start on the bench, can be expected to share ruck duties with Kim Rennie in the absence of injured tall Emma King.
Former skipper Emma Kearney is among the other absentees as she recovers from a pre-season calf injury.
Saturday's opening bounce in Geelong is at 3.35pm AEST.
