Forward Niamh Martin will depart North Melbourne after the Kangaroos agreed to a deal with Hawthorn on the final day of the 2025 AFLW Trade Period.
The Irishwoman has been traded to the Hawks with the Kangaroos receiving in return a future third-round draft pick (tied to Port Adelaide) and a future third-round pick (tied to Sydney).
Martin leaves North Melbourne following a season on the inactive list, after she opted to spend the 2025 season in Ireland to fulfill study commitments.
Prior to the 2025 season, the 24-year-old had played 16 games during her two seasons at Arden Street, booting eight goals.
"Niamh has been a great contributor during a very successful period for our club," North Melbourne AFLW list manager Flynn Loft said.
"We thank her for everything she’s given during her time here and wish her the very best in her future at Hawthorn."
The trade is North Melbourne's fifth of the 2025 AFLW trade period, following the departures of Ariana Hetherington, Ella Slocombe, Georgia Stubs, and a pick swap with Carlton.
