First-year forward Lachy Dovaston could be among the Kangaroos considered for selection to face Richmond at Marvel Stadium on Sunday.

Dovaston, who has kicked two goals in his three AFL games to date, starred with six goals from 20 disposals in North Melbourne's VFL hitout against the AFL Academy at Arden St Oval on Saturday.

He had a hand in several other goals in the Roos' 71-point win, suggesting he will be in the conversation when senior coach Alastair Clarkson meets with his selection committee this week.

At the opposite end of the ground, Toby Pink will push for a return after he was omitted for the Roos' fighting loss against Brisbane in Gather Round last weekend. The big defender had passed a fitness test after picking up a knee knock on Good Friday, and will be determined to regain his spot to face the Tigers.

Zac Fisher (35 disposals, two goals) and Cooper Harvey (26 disposals, nine marks) continued their growing form at reserves level against the Academy. 

Harvey provided drive from half-back, while Fisher dominated behind the ball and on the wing, building on his productive performance against Carlton in the VFL on Good Friday. 

Young talls Wil Dawson and Taylor Goad shared ruck duties against the Academy and could be considered to provide ruck support against the Tigers, as star ruck Tristan Xerri prepares to serve the last match of his three-game suspension. 

Developing tall forward Matt Whitlock did his prospects no harm by kicking four goals against the Academy, while Brayden George continues to press for a debut, backing up his four first-quarter goals against the Blues on Good Friday with another three goals.
