Gun ruckman Tristan Xerri will be available for selection ahead of North Melbourne’s trip to South Australia to face Port Adelaide.
Xerri missed the club’s 14-point win over Essendon due to a fractured jaw he suffered against Richmond in Round 15, but is expected to slot straight back into the side ahead of this Sunday’s fixture.
“Tristan has had a smooth recovery from his procedure where he got good running, football, and strength loads in at the backend of last week,” North Melbourne head of performance Kevin White said.
"Yesterday (Monday) he received clearance to play after surgical review and will transition back in with the main program this week to be available to play."
Young midfielder Luke Urquhart has pulled up well from his "best session" in recent weeks, said White.
“The aim will be to build another strong week of group training and preparing for a return to play through the VFL against Collingwood next week, at this stage,” he said.
Blake Thredgold has made great strides in his rehab from the foot injury which has ruled him out for the 2026 campaign.
"From here, he'll drip feed into early fundamental skill drills which will be a great boost for him and provide energy to the playing group," White said.
