The last time the sides met, it was the Tigers who ran out 78-point winners and four North Melbourne listed players were named in the bests. However it must be said, the Scorpions weren’t at full strength.
In that game, Pedersen had 28 possessions, 19 hitouts and 5 marks to complement Majak Daw's 13 possessions, 27 hitouts and 2 goals, in what was a quality rucking combination.
In the middle, Levi Greenwood will have a tough task, most likely going up against Brent Moloney. On the wing Ben Speight will have to continue his form to give Werribee outside run and quality delivery to a North-heavy forward line.
Down back Brad Mangan and Ayden Kennedy won't have to worry about Casey's leading goalkicker for the season in Jack Fitzpatrick. Called up by Melbourne to make the trip to Patersons Stadium, it leaves one less focal point for the Scorpions to kick to. Yet with an even spread of goal scoring players over the season, it could make Casey an even more dangerous and unpredictable side.
The winner of Sunday's game earns a week's break, going straight through to the preliminary final. It could mean if the Tigers do get up, the North Melbourne match committee will not have any external factors to take into account when picking the side for the AFL elimination final.
