NMFC.com.au spoke to director of football, Geoff Walsh, who provided the latest updates on the club’s injury situation.

#1: Daniel Currie (shoulder)

Walsh: "He’s still another two weeks away."

#5: Ben Jacobs (ankle)

Walsh: "He trained yesterday fully so he’s looking good. He’ll be available to play."

#8: Daniel Wells (foot)

Walsh: "He upped his running yesterday and felt good about it, he wasn’t pulling up sore. Hopefully that continues."

#9: Andrew Swallow (knee)

Walsh: "He’s fit to play."

#17: Nathan Grima (foot)

Walsh: "He’s getting some good recovery with his foot. He’s using a bone stimulator to help that repair and increase blood flow, which has been showing some good signs.

"We’ll give him another two weeks of that and hopefully he’ll return to training."

#25: Robbie Tarrant (leg)

Walsh: "We’ve offloaded him and we’re reviewing his training."

#27: Taylor Garner (hamstring)

Walsh: "Taylor should return to full training next week. Then it’s just a matter of getting some footy into him for a few weeks.

"He’s about three weeks from returning to play."

#28: Robbie Nahas (shoulder)

Walsh: "The surgery went fine, there’s no issues there. Return to play in six weeks."

#30: Tom Curran (foot)

Walsh: "The last two weeks he’s started to up his running and he ran pretty strongly yesterday. Just monitoring how he keeps pulling up."

#31: Cameron Delaney (toe)

Walsh: "He pulled up sore from the game last week in the VFL, so we’re getting a third opinion on just what the course of action is, because it’s been a bit frustrating both for him and us.

"We just want to see if there’s a third opinion, other than returning to surgery."

#34: Jamie Macmillan (broken fibula)

Walsh: "We pulled him back on his running because scans show the bone hasn’t quite healed. He’s also using the bone stimulator.

"We would say return to play within three weeks."

#36: Joel Tippett (pectoral)

Walsh: "He’s four weeks into his rehab, he was out running yesterday with his arm in a sling. He’s commenced a stability program."
