After starting the 2025 VFLW season in strong fashion for North Melbourne Werribee, Boyd was signed as a replacement player for the AFLW program.

A talented rebounding defender, Boyd was a member of the Bulldogs’ 2019 AFLW squad before notching 30 games in the VFLW for the Southern Saints from 2022 to 2024.

She earned her AFLW debut in Round 2, 2025 against Port Adelaide, and was impressive a week later, grabbing 18 disposals to set her personal best. She finished the season with 10 matches under her belt, including a qualifying final appearance.
