Defender Jackson Archer's season is over after he suffered an ankle injury in Friday evening's VFL match against Footscray at Mission Whitten Oval.
Archer's left ankle was caught in a tackle early in the contest. Scans later revealed a fibula fracture and a syndesmosis injury which will require surgery.
Star midfielder Luke Davies-Uniacke will miss Sunday's game against Melbourne due to concussion, after suffering a blow to the head in Thursday night's AFL game against the Western Bulldogs.
"Luke has been placed in the AFL protocols and is graduating through the early stages of that," North Melbourne head of performance Kevin White said.
"He had a light run today (Monday) and will hopefully continue to trend well throughout the week and clear protocols going into next week."

Spearhead Nick Larkey (knee) will face a fitness test despite booting five goals and running out the club's Centenary celebration match against the Dogs.
"Nick suffered a knee knock in the first quarter which has pulled up pretty sore over the past couple of days," White said.
"His plan will be to let symptoms settle in the early part of the week while he increases his range of movement before testing at the back end of the week."

Luke McDonald (shoulder), Luke Parker (ribs), Jack Darling (groin) and Charlie Comben (shoulder) will also look to prove their fitness ahead of Sunday's game at the MCG.
"(McDonald) just fell short last week of clearing his return to play assessments, and with the short turnaround into a longer 10-day break this week, we decided to take a conservative approach," White said.
"(Parker) has recovered well and will re-enter main group training on Tuesday to press his case to play this week.
"Jack has trended well across the weekend and jumped into some skill work on Monday.
"Charlie was really close to being cleared to play on Thursday night but the decision to not put him into the game and have the 10-day break before the next bout was taken by the club.
"This decision was to ensure that Charlie has full confidence in his body at being able to perform his role gameday.
"He will look to train well this week to put his hand up for selection once again."
Young onballer George Wardlaw (concussion) will be unavailable for selection this week.
Having experienced multiple head knocks over the past 12 months, Wardlaw has been given an extra week of recovery to allow him to gradually return to full-contact training.
Veteran defender Aidan Corr is 2-3 weeks away from a return from a calf injury, while Josh Goater and Eddie Ford both made successful returns in the reserves last Friday, getting through the contest unscathed.
