A Narungga man recruited from Central Districts in South Australia, Sansbury caught the eye as a junior, kicking five goals in the 2003 SANFL Grand Final while playing on future Brownlow Medalist Adam Cooney.
He made his debut for the Kangaroos in 2004 at the age of 21.
He showed plenty of potential in his five seasons with the club, including a five-goal haul in a 2007 win over the Bulldogs.
However he was unable to hold down a regular spot in the senior team and was delisted at the end of 2008.
He has family connections to his teammate, Daniel Wells, and Sydney great Michael O’Loughlin.
