A Wirangu and Kokatha man from South Australia, Thomas was an opportunistic small forward with tremendous goal sense.
His lethal left boot delivered 325 goals across 205 games at North Melbourne. And he didn’t always need a boot - once coolly slotting a long-range goal against Brisbane with just a sock on.
Testament to his ability to play above his height, Thomas led the club’s goalkicking tally twice and took several memorable marks across his career.
He wrapped up his time at Arden Street at the end of 2017, before playing seven games for his boyhood club Port Adelaide, where he retired.
He has family connections to close teammates Eddie Sandsbury and Daniel Wells as well as Wayne Milera (Adelaide), Izak Rankine (Adelaide), Tyson Stengle (Geelong), Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera (St Kilda).
