Originally from Numbulwar, a remote community in east Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory, Spicer was a proud Nunggubuyu man.
Drafted from SANFL club South Adelaide with pick no.42 in the 2020 AFL Draft, he joined the Roos as a small forward with X-factor, electric speed and plenty of flair.
He got his first taste of AFL football late in the 2021 season when he made his debut in his home state of South Australia against the Crows, and later kicked his first goal in Round 19, 2022 against Hawthorn.
He played a role in helping artist Emma Bamblett design North Melbourne's 2023 Sir Doug Nicholls Round guernsey, which featured each of the team's First Nations players' totems.
Spicer was represented by his totem, the barramundi fish.
He died tragically in 2026, aged just 23.
